Training Camp

At K-Fitness we offer three types of training camp: Youth (ages 8 to 11), Starter (ages 12 to 16), and Elite (ages 17+). Each camp is geared towards building overall athleticism and getting the body to function at its highest level.

The K-Fitness Summer Training Program includes:

  • Speed training that will consist of the following movements: linear, lateral, backward, angle, transitions from different angles and much more.
  • Strength Training
  • A healthy breakfast for Starter and Elite athletes to jumpstart their day.
  • A regenerating lunch for all athletes.
  • One massage per week for Starter athletes and two massages per week for Elite athletes by a licensed massage therapist.
  • All athletes will do speed training in the pool one day per week.
  • Starter and Elite athletes will do Yoga one day per week.
  • At the end of camp, Starter and Elite athletes will discuss how to overcome adversity and be resilient athletes with a professional life coach who is a 6th degree black and national level competitor

Why this camp is uncommon:

K-Fitness Athletic Performance Summer Camp understands what it means to train an athlete to their greatest potential. Other "athletic camps" typically focus traditional methods that consist of one or two things: sport specific skills or getting the athlete physically bigger. The problem with the traditional method is that the other athletes are all training the same way. You will not stand out because you are a replica of the 20 other individuals trying out for the same sport or position.

At K-Fitness, we believe that being a successful athlete begins with proper nutrition, physical care, mental conditioning and confidence. We train athletes using methods that will allow them to reach their greatest potential by targeting the skills and abilities required to reach their next level of competition. Our method of training allows athletes to stand out and acquire traits that coaches want to see in their players. Give your son or/and daughter the opportunity to reach their full athletic potential so they can get the attention and opportunities that they deserve.


Training Camp

Youth - Ages 8 to 11

The youth camp includes teaching proper mechanics, form and technique that will make these upcoming young athletes faster, quicker and more agile for when they first start competing in sports. Strength training will also be incorporated in the camp for the young athlete to develop strength and coordination to decrease their chances of injury. Games will be played so that the athlete can apply and practice their new skills. This camp will acclimate the young athlete to training and prepare them for the sport they will eventually be playing. Free weights and machines will not be used with this age group.

Training Camp

Starter - Ages 12 to 16

During the starter camp the athletes will be assessed to correct imbalances, misalignments and muscle recruitment. At this age the athlete has started to physically develop, has already begun competing in sports and has subconsciously developed bad habits in their mechanics. If not corrected these athletes more suseptable to injuries. The Starter camp is particulary helpful for female athletes who are more likely to suffer from injuries due to thier physical differences.

Training Camp

Elite - Ages 17+

The Elite camp prepares athletes for the next level of competition. At this point their bodies can handle resistance training; this will make them more explosive when force is generated in any direction. Running forward, backward, lateral, on an angle, making transitions, jumping, swinging a bat, or tennis racket, these are all examples of force being applied in a particular direction. This camp also focuses on mental conditioning and becoming a resilient athlete. It is understood that as competition gets more competitive it takes more than just being physically gifted to be able to overcome the adversity and the commitment that comes with being an elite athlete at the next level. An athlete must develop mentally to become a more versatile player/individual, this will give them the best chance of achieving greatness not only in sports, but in life.
